Health Canada is pleased to announce the release of the


Protecting Canadians from Unsafe Drugs Act Transparency Needs-based Assessment.

Health Canada invites all interested stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, health technology assessors, academic researchers and industry to participate in this consultation by completing the questionnaire.

The questionnaire will be online until May 25th, 2015.

The purpose of this assessment is to evaluate the end users’ transparency needs. The result of this consultation will be used in the development and adjustments of the way information is disseminated including changes to and the development of new regulations.

Celiac Survey – We need your help!

Calling all Youth with Celiac Disease!

YOU CAN HELP support some innovative new research to help our community!


Dr. Justine Dowd, a researcher at the University of British Columbia, is looking at behaviour and celiac disease, including social pressures and adherence to the gluten-free diet. This research is funded in part by the Canadian Celiac Association.

Justine is looking for youth (ages 12-17) who have been diagnosed with celiac disease to participate in this online study. They do not have to follow a strict gluten-free diet to participate in this study, but they must be diagnosed.

This is all online; no need to go anywhere apart from your computer desk!

Participation in this study will involve completing an online questionnaire at two time points (Time 1 [baseline], and Time 2 [1 month after baseline]. It will take participants less than 30 minutes to complete the questionnaires at each time point (60 minutes total). After completing the study participants will be entered into a draw for a 1 of 8 $50 Visa gift certificates.
